While sitting on some of the best patio furniture on the planet and sipping fabulous berry smoothies, several guests at Outdoor Elegance in La Verne on Tuesday nightĀ listened to La Verne Chiropractor Afshin Kaivan-Mehr discussĀ his 21-day purification program designed to help people feel and look better.
āCalled the Standard Process Purification Program, it gives you a structured plan for purifying, nourishing, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle,ā Dr. Mehr explained.
The program takes aim at eliminating toxins in the body that can contribute to a wide range of conditions such as fatigue or difficulty sleeping, digestion and gastrointestinal problems, food cravings and weight gain, reduced mental clarity, and low libido.
Before the seminar started, attendees completed a detailed questionnaire surveying their health status and exposure to well known toxins and lesser known ones such as sodas and alcohol.
The core of the Standard Process purification program, under the direction of Dr. Mehr, includes eating whole, organic and unprocessed foods, taking whole food supplements; and drinking plenty of water.
Participants in the detox program also receive a helpful nutritional guide and 24/7 online support, as well, to make healthier food choices.
At the end of the talk, several past participants talked about their success on the program. āThe first week of the program was pretty rough, but then I started sleeping better and finding I had more energy,ā Albert said. āI started losing weight; even my food started tasting better.ā
āItās not a deprivation diet,ā Dr. Mehr said. āItās a healing diet.ā
