Nobody can quite multi-task like Santa. After spending an all-nighter in his workshop, he spent Wednesday at the Kiddie Academy in La Verne helping load food and gifts that the children and their parents had brought in for delivery to Sowing Seeds for Life, a large food shelter in town.
Then weary Santa, as popular as ever with his velvet robes and flowing white beard, posed for scores of photos with the children at their parents. No doubt, by the time he got back to the North Pole by way of Palm Desert, late Wednesday he was pooped.
The kids did their best to fortify Santa by putting out milk and cookies for the jolly man, well known for his sweet tooth.
“I like to make these little visits,” Santa said. “It gets me in shape for the big day that’s now just a few days away. I’m just happy that the kids really got into the spirit of the season by giving so much to a great organization like Sowing Seeds.
“That’s what the season is all about!”
