Charlie Tachdjian of American Classic Cars in Pomona drove away with the Best of Show title in ’32 Ford Roadster at the June 13 Cruisin’ La Verne car show to benefit the LeRoy Haynes Center in La Verne.

Nearly 300 vehicles were on hand, the largest show ever, according to Connie LaMarche, President and Founder of Cruisin’ La Verne. LeRoy Haynes Center partnered with the La Verne Chamber of Commerce for the first time this year to present the Chamber’s Biz Exposition featuring leading businesses from throughout the area.

The LeRoy Haynes Center, based in La Verne, provides specialized treatment and educational services to children with special needs relating to emotional development, autism, Asperger’s Disorder, learning disabilities, neglect and abandonment. The entire facility serves 350 to 400 children annually through its three basic programs – residential, Haynes Education Center and mental health.
