The La Verne McDonald's on the northwest corner of Foothill and Fruit was robbed at approximately 4:15 a.m., April 18.

Responding to an incomplete 911 call on April 18, 2009, at about 4:15 a.m., La Verne police officers arrived at McDonald’s restaurant, at 2269 Foothill Blvd. in La Verne, where they discovered that six employees had been tied up with duct tape and a robbery had occurred. Witnesses described the suspects as two male black adults in their mid-30s. They were each armed with a handgun and wearing baggy clothes. They reportedly entered the store while employees were preparing to open for Saturday morning customers. One employee sustained minor injuries and had to be taken to the hospital to be checked. The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

No further details were released. The La Verne Police Department’s investigation is ongoing.
