Poker players, there’s no need to head to Vegas or the Commerce Casino, when the biggest poker game of all goes down on Saturday, June 9, at Via Verde Country Club, to benefit the La Verne Lutheran baseball program.

Registration starts at 2 p.m., with the tournament starting at 3 p.m. The buy-in donation is $70, with unlimited add-ons the first hour for $20. For your $70, you receive $5,000 in chips. Each $20 ad-on gets you $2,500 in additional chips.

If you buy pre sale tickets you get an additional $1,000.00 to your stack.

Also starting at 2 p.m., there will be a free Texas Hold ’em poker lesson for people who have never played.

“We are trying to raise enough money to have a batting cage built and new uniforms for next season,” Lutheran Assistant Coach Jeff Henderson said.
