So Cal Bearcats Baseball Club 1st annual Golf Tournament, Feb. 17

Sean Powell will just one of the players who hopes to hit the road this summer to improve his baseball skills.

Are you golfer, baseball aficionado or just a fan of the youth of La Verne? Well, this is for you.  The So Cal Bearcats Baseball Club is hosting a golf event on Friday, February 17, 2012.  The “Bearcats” Club consists of four teams of boys ranging in ages from 7-14, including many of our local La Verne Little League All-Stars. The boys participate in quality youth baseball tournaments throughout California, Arizona and Nevada. Their current goal is to travel to major tournaments in locales such as Cooperstown, New York during the summer of 2012.  The group will use this fundraiser as a source of support to help off-set travel expenses and entry fees.  The cost is $100 per person, which includes a day of golf at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course, a cart, dinner and awards ceremony.  In addition, many fun contests are planned including:

·         a Helicopter Drop for a Cash Prize ($5 per ticket)

·         50/50 closest to the pin on the 16^th hole

·         Putting contest

·         Longest drive contest

·         Lowest team score (gross)

·         50/50 drawing

Please join us for a fun-filled day of camaraderie benefiting the youth of La Verne.  If you are not a golfer, but do want to support the boys, you may purchase tickets for the helicopter drop, 50/50 or attend the dinner ($30), we would love to have you.
