These La Verne dogs might make for a good video short!

The University of La Verne Communications Department, LVTV-3 (La Verne Community Television), and KWST (San Dimas Community Television) are sponsoring the third annual My Home Town video contest for high school students.

The object is to make a video of five minutes or less about your home town.
Do you love it?
Hate it?
Are there weird people?
Interesting or haunted places?

The competition is open to public or private high school students in 28 local communities.
Arcadia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Covina, Diamond Bar, Duarte, El Monte, Etiwanda, Fontana, Glendora, Hacienda Heights, La Puente, La Verne, Monrovia, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, Rowland Heights, San Dimas, South El Monte, Upland, Walnut and West Covina.

There are prizes of video equipment and software for the for the best videos:

Third

The best videos will also be compiled into a reel shown on public access TV stations across the country.

The deadline for entries is October 26, 2011.

There will be a screening of the best videos Saturday November 12, 2010, 7 p.m. at the University of La Verne Arts Communications Building Room 212
