WATER POLO: Bonita Makes Big Splash in Desert, Now in Semi-Finals

Senior Bearcat Damian Danciu is ready to launch.

Their dreams of post-season glory sinking fast, the Bonita varsity water polo team roared back from a 5-1 half-time deficit to swamp Palm Desert 11-9, earning the Bearcats a trip to Mt. SAC, where they’ll meet La Serna in the semi-finals on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m.

The remarkable weekend rally required a balanced team effort. Alec Williams had four goals and two assists, Keaton Renta had three goals and one assist and Alec Snow had two goals. Matt Zachary and RJ Massro had one goal each. Keeper Caler Guarino had five saves.

A total team effort has carried Bonita into the semi-finals against La Serna this Wednesday at Mt. SAC.
