Today from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Roberta’s Village Inn, La Verne celebrities will take a licking to their favorite old fashioned sundae and serve you one too as part of Celebrity Scoops Night to help raise funds for the fight against cancer.

Celebrity scoopers include David Allen, columnist from the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, Mayor Don Kendrick and Former Mayor Jon Blickenstaff, Mayor Pro Tem Donna Redman Nasmyth, Councilmember Robin Carder, Police Chief Scott Pickwith, Captain Darryl Seube, Fire Chief John Breaux, Planning Commission Chair Cid Pinedo and more.

This event, which falls on the same night as the downtown farmer’s market, is organized by volunteers from the “Pride of La Verne” team of City of La Verne employees, friends and family members who have joined together in the fight against cancer.

All of the money collected will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Claremont/La Verne.
