LA VERNE LUTHERAN CONTINUES CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION WITH 2 BIG EVENTS

In March, La Verne Lutheran High School may have won the first state basketball championship in the city’s history, but the real celebration begins in May – May 1 to be exact.

On May Day, Lutheran High School will honor its championship players by hosting a three-hour (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) celebration, including food, fun, music, singing, banner presentation, carnival games, auction, autographs and a photo booth.

On May 8, May 22, May 29, June 12, and June 19, the La Verne Lutheran Champion Trojans will also be hosting FOOD FOR HOOPS, a five-session basketball clinic for children ages 7 through high school. The cost for the five sessions is $25, plus a can of food for each workout. Each session, which will feature shooting, dribbling, passing, defense and offensive moods, runs 90 minutes.
