Awards Season Is Here for Young Scholars

With awards season here, some very talented local students (and teachers) were honored Tuesday night, May 29, at Fairplex, for their scholarship and outstanding contributions to the local community.

Members of the La Verne-San Dimas Educational Foundation, which consists of parents, business owners, District representatives and other community volunteers dedicated to recognizing student excellence, presented framed certificates and medals to the elementary students, handsome plaques to the middle school students, and $200 scholarship checks and certificates to the high school seniors.

Making the outstanding evening possible were host LA Fairplex, Bonita Unified School District, BUSD Board Members, BUSD PTAs and all 2012 golf tournament supporters and participants.
