Back by popular demand and just in time for summer, Bonita Unified School District will host its 2nd annual Community Tech Showcase on June 12 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the campus of Lone Hill Middle School in San Dimas.
At the showcase, a slate of activities and demonstrations have been for planned students and parents, such as:
Applying new software in the classroom and at home
Viewing technology demos
Learning how to “Help Your Student Make Educational Connections with Their Mobile Device”
Receiving exclusive educational pricing on hardware and software
Also use the showcase to safely and conveniently discard your electronic waste. From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can drop off your obsolete computer monitors, PCs, TVs, printers, scanners, laptops, cell phones, batteries and cables.
Partcipating vendors and community organizations include Costco, City of San Dimas Parks & Recs, City of San Dimas & La Verne Library, Bonelli Park Jr. Lifeguard Program, Sprint, T-Mobile, LVSD PopWarner, Insight, SEHI, and many more. There will also be raffle drawings and food booths for the entire family to enjoy.
“We had a great turnout and response last year, and we anticipate this year’s event will create even more excitement,” said Dori Nasmyth, of Bonita Unified’s CIS Department.
