Scouts in the Covina, Glendora, La Verne, San Dimas and Claremont areas of the San Gabriel Valley Council Boy Scouts are preparing for their 4th Annual Car Show on Saturday, June 26, 2010. Plans are underway for a day full of fun, action and car viewing. Last year, race teams and competitors from as far away as Atascadero and Riverside participated. Many rare cars were featured.
The show will present a full range of automobiles from Model T’s to exotic collector cars, race cars and hot rods. There will also be a full range of Scout activities displayed at the show. Scouts and siblings can bring their Pinewood Derby cars to compete against the other Scouts in the area. This year will also feature the first Car Club Pinewood Challenge where entrants race their cars for individual and Club recognition.
This year’s show will be held at Royal Oak Intermediate School, 303 S. Glendora Ave. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Many trophies will be awarded for the best entries.
During the car Show, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the street rods, custom classics, motorcycles and more. Booths will be set up with local vendors. Entertainment will be provided by 8Track Carl and Lit’l John.
The entry fee for Car Show competitors is $15 and includes the Car Show, one limited edition t-shirt, lunch for two and two door prize drawing tickets.
A admission is FREE for all ages.
