Richard Nakawatase, who attended Fairplex’s golf show and entered his name in Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center/Sports Medicine Center’s drawing to win a set of Cleveland CG irons and a new bag, walked away the lucky winner. PVHMC Sports Medicine Center offers the popular Golf WELL program, a wellness program to get golfers back on the course safely after injury and the keep them there through a customized, golf-specific fitness program. “Over 30 million people play golf regularly,” said Physical Therapist and Program Director Marti Kunishima, “and another 3 million take it up each year. Of those, nearly 80% will experience golf-related injuries. Our motivation is clear: We wanted to help golfers get well, stay well and golf well.”
