Take a Shine to Free Car Show to Benefit Sheriff’s Boosters — New Photos Just Added

L&G Enterprises in San Dimas will have a few of their rides on display.

If you like classic cars and pancakes, then make plans to attend the 17th Annual Shine It! Show It! Cruise It! San Dimas Car Show on July 25, sponsored by the San Dimas Sheriff’s Boosters. Cruising down the streets will be the best antique, classic, custom street rods and trucks.

The day will begin with a delicious pancake breakfast (7 a.m. to 11 a.m., $6) on Exchange Place hosted by the United Methodist Church of San Dimas, followed by a four-mile cruise starting at 8:30 a.m., that will travel along San Dimas Avenue, Foothill Boulevard (Route 66), San Dimas Canyon Road and Arrow Highway. After the cruise, cars will be displayed along beautiful tree-lined Bonita Avenue leading into downtown San Dimas where you will find many antique shops, eateries and stores.

Along with the many great cars that will be on display, visitors will find various vendors, raffles, and live music performed by the popular band, Impulse.

More than 30 trophies will be awarded to the winners! And one of those trophies could be yours because it’s still not too late to enter. Entry fees are $30, with goodie bags given to the first 200 entries. On the day of the event, registration begins at 6:30 a.m., the cruise gets under way at 8:30 a.m. Judging begins at 10 a.m. and the awards presentation kicks off at 2:30 p.m.

Whether registering your own vehicle or merely admiring all of the entries, you’ll have a fabulous time at the San Dimas Car Show.
