La VERNE, California – In celebration of its fourth anniversary, the La Verne Brewing Company hosted its annual “Shine it; Show it” Car Show on Sunday, April 23.  The event was a community success with more than 50 entry cars and over 400 people in attendance.  The show was held on the brewery grounds, in the western shadow of the Pomona Drag Strip in South La Verne. Funds, raised via car show entry fees, raffle prizes and other contributions, were all donated to the Bonita High School Auto Technology Program.

La Verne Brewing Company was founded for its great love of hand crafted beer, automobiles and drag racing.  The Brewery and Tasting Room are adorned with drag racing pictures and memorabilia, reflecting the good memories of the owner’s drag racing days.  The brewery is home to a top alcohol funny car body from the Sean Bellemeur Racing Team “MasterCam” of Orange County.  A 275 m.p.h. dragster also was on display at the car show.

Recently, the brewery staff  met with Priscilla Englert, instructor of the Auto Tech program at Bonita High School, and presented her with a $2,000 check for her program.  In touring the high school auto shop, the brewery staff was truly impressed by the program’s specialized technology.  The La Verne Brewing Company’s 2017 donation marks the second consecutive year it has supported Englert and her outstanding program.
