Helping Out the Community Is As Easy As ABC for Local Real Estate Office

There’s a lot of chest-bumping and high-fiving going on at the Century 21 Marty Rodriguez office Glendora, Calif., office nowadays. Not only did the real estate office finish No. 1 in units sold and dollar volume in the nationwide Century 21 real estate network in 2012, it also donated $6,300 to local nonprofits last year through its A Better Community (ABC) program.

Participating in the program was as simple as A-B-C for clients of Century 21 Marty Rodriguez. They simply had to inform their agent at the beginning of their transaction (on either the buy or sale side) that they would like to have the Century 21 Marty Rodriguez office donate $300 on their behalf to their favorite non-profit (501c3) organization, and the donation was made at the close of escrow.

“We were able to support such a broad range of nonprofits because our clients are involved in so many different organizations,” said Shelley Dow, broker for Century 21 Marty Rodriguez who implemented the charitable giving program in 2011. “Our giving program directly reflects their interests and passions at a real grassroots level.”

Century 21 Marty Rodriguez agents who participated in the ABC program in 2012 included Marty Rodriguez, Ed Rodriguez, Peter Pallesen, Lorie Mason, Jessie Ontiveros, Shani Gann, Nancy and Dan Sojka, Marc Bustamonte and Mona Sharma.

“For the past several years, many of our schools and leading nonprofits have faced drastic cuts in their funding, so our ABC program is one way we’re trying to address that shortfall,” said Realtor Marty Rodriguez. “It’s really a win for everybody – our clients, our agents, and most important, all of our local nonprofit organizations that work so hard and do so much to make us a better community.”
