Vito "Vic" Failla

Vito “Vic” Failla passed away surrounded by his family Aug. 3, 2010. He was 83. He was born in Buffalo, New York. Vic is preceded in death by his wife Anna, his son Steven Failla, great granddaughter Corinne Donatini, his brother Jim Failla and sister Rosemarie Bandinelli. Vic is survived by his six children, Ann Marie Donatini (Randy), of Hesperia, Calif., John Failla of Moscow, Idaho, Pam Evins (Randy) of Oak Hills, Calif., Patty Tolli of Corona, Calif., Tom Rumler (Lindy) of Yamhill, Ore., and Don Rumler (Paula) of Idyllwild, Calif. He is also survived by his sister Anna Caserta of Orchard Park, N.Y., Tony Failla (Janet) of Wilson, N.Y., Angie Cannizaro (Ronnie) of Depew, N.Y., and sister-in-law Franny Failla of Depew, N.Y.

Vic Dearly loved his 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. We will miss he wonderful smile, his great sense of humor, but mostly we will miss his love.

Vic’s Mass and Rosary were held Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Holy Name of Mary Church in San Dimas. His Funeral Service was held Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Hillside Chapel, Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, followed by a graveside service.

The La Verne resident lived on Logan street in La Verne, where he was always seen talking to neighbors, always looking forward, sharing his dreams, enjoying his life and sharing it fully with all those that loved him.
