ginatholidayadAt 9 a.m., head down the freeway to Cypress College to watch our Bonita ladies vie for the CIF crown against Hacienda Heights Los Altos in the Division 3-AA final at 10 in gym No. 2. Twice earlier in the season, the Lady Bearcats defeated the Conquerors, but getting the hat trick with so much on the line will not be easy. So come out and show your support.

Back in La Verne, drop in for some light holiday shopping at the Holiday Boutique at 1328 Palomares. Featured items include purses, belts, scarves, wickless candles, scented candles, custom jewelry, fashion jewelry, hand-painted glassware, wine lights, clothing, kitchen items and more. The Holiday Boutique runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Okay, you’re in luck. Gina T is holding a free Christmas Tree Decorating Class on Sat., Nov. 21, at  both 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Learn from the best and also enjoy storewide savings at either of the two downtown Gina T. locations: Gina T Interior Accents at 2152 Bonita Ave. and Gina T Home at 2316 D Street.

If you haven’t already, walk down to Dippin’ Dots (2310 D Street), also in downtown La Verne, and pick up your tickets for the Home for the Holidays Home Tour, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., where you’ll tour three premier homes exceptionally decorated for the holidays. This self-guided tour allows you to enjoy these homes at your leisure. All of the net proceeds from the home tour go directly to providing Bonita High School students with a safe, sober and drug-free graduation celebration. Tickets are now on sale for $20 each. If you have any pep left in your step, you have two evening options. You can go listen to a free music performance at Pomona College’s Bridges Hall of Music at 8 p.m. The musical program is entitled, “Corde a Vide, featuring Jubal Folks on the violin and Lena Peters on the harpsichord.

And for those who like to gamble and ramble a little more on their Saturday nights, then please attend Holy Name of Mary School’s Casino Night and Silent/Live Auction at Mountain Meadows (1875 Fairplex Dr., Pomona) from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.There will be hors d’ oeuvres, a no-host bar, raffles and all your favorite casino-style games of chance, including black jack, 3-card poker, roulette and craps.
