This Sunday, Sept. 15, Massage Envy in La Verne just might be the busiest place in town. Massage Envy owner Jennifer Blaz reported her clinic is completely booked on that day, when patrons will undergo one-hour massage sessions for the discounted price of $35, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the fight against breast cancer.
“Massage Envy chose to partner with Susan G. Komen for the Cure because many of our loyal clients, healing therapists, and caring staff are the same people likely to be affected by breast cancer,” Blaz said.
It is estimated that one in eight women will be diagnosed with this type of cancer sometime in their life. Many advances in diagnoses and treatment have been made in the past several years, largely due to the work and efforts of organizations such as Susan G. Komen.
Massage Envy is also assisting the Bonita High School Marching Bearcats and Color Guard by donating 20% of both one-half hour ($26) and full-hour ($49) massage sessions to its musical programs.
