Little League Champions Jog on to Stage One More Time

The plaudits continued to pour in for three La Verne Little League teams who made great summer playoff runs. At the September 8, 2009 City council meeting, the teams and their coaches were honored by La Verne Mayor Don Kendrick and the City Council. Players also received commemorative pins from Micky’s Jewelry Studio and Dippin’ Dots certificates for their accomplishments.

The La Verne Little League All-Star team won the Little League District 20 tournament. They advanced to the semi-finals of the Little League Section 3 tournament. The team was managed by Brian Shively and was coached by Kenny Korn and Tom Lodolo. The roster is:

Eric Castruita, Cameron DeBranch, Alex Gonzalez, Matt Jones, Hunter Korn, Nick Lodolo, Chris Lopez, Sam Monsen, Kurtis Redman, Austin Shively, Cole Sojka, Brogan White and Jacob Wollard.

The La Verne Little League All-Star team won both the Little League District 20 Tournament and the Little League section 3 tournaments. They advanced to the semi-finals of the Southern California North Sub-Division tournament. The team was managed by Bobby Diebold and was coached by Rob Tilton and Greg Gelalich. The roster is:

Jacob Burris, Isaiah Carranza, Tanner Diebold, Danny Gelalich, Justin Gomez, Joey Halabrin, Sean Heberer, Robert Peterson, Connor Russell, Cordell Smith, Jake Tilton, Kenny Walter and Garrett Weiss.

011The La Verne Little League Senior All-Star team won the Little League District 20 tournamennt. They advanced to the semi-finals of the Little League Section 3 tournament. The was managed by Mike DeMonaco and was coached by Kerry Graeber and Joe Vera. The team roster is:

Anthony Williams, Tanner Graeber, Austin DeMonaco, CJ Griffin, David Vera, Jared Pine, Jamie Saldivar, Woody Reyes, Bryce Parlopino, Anthony Gonzalez, Scott Salsman, Peter Frasca and Andrew Tiscareno.
